Episode 26: Powering Colorado Springs

The closing of the Martin Drake Power Plant is making headlines. City Council acting as the utilities board has voted to decommission the downtown monstrosity by 2035 with Unit 5 heading into decommission by the end of 2017. What took them so long to make the decision? Was it the best option? How do these decisions come about? We ask these questions and a lot more as we talk about how power gets throughout COS.
