In anticipation of Arts Month (October!!) we sit down with Andy Vick, the Executive Director of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR). COPPeR is responsible for promoting the arts by connecting citizens to the events, activities and artists that make up the cultural makeup of the Pikes Peak Region.
Andy talks about his background and how he found himself in Colorado Springs running an arts non-profit. Andy discusses with us why art and culture makes a community worth living in – and how we can help expand the arts to make all of our lives better. We then shift to talking about what COPPeR does in the community and how art and cultural contributes to the local economy. If you wanted some good stats and facts on how art makes our community better this show is for you!
